Salary: AUD 75,000 to 85,000 per annum + superannuation

Disability and Healthcare Support Pty Ltd (trading as Support Foundation) is an established NDIS-registered provider delivering disability support services across Sydney. The organisation provides a range of services including supported independent living (SIL), community participation, and in-home care, supporting participants with diverse and complex needs.  

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Aged or Disability Carers to provide support to aged persons and individuals with disabilities in home and community settings. The role focuses on assisting clients with daily living activities, personal care, household tasks, and social support to maintain independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompanying aged and people living with disabilities during daily activities and outings
  • Assisting clients with mobility, including walking and transfers
  • Preparing meals and assisting with eating where required
  • Assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
  • Performing household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and general tidying
  • Arranging and supporting social activities and community participation
  • Providing companionship, friendship, and emotional support
  • Assisting with shopping, medical appointments and running errands
  • Supporting clients in home-based or live-in care arrangements where required

Skills and Experience Required

  • Relevant Certificate II or III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or related field
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in aged care, disability care, or home support
  • Ability to provide practical support with daily living activities
  • Demonstrated experience supporting clients with complex needs (highly regarded)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a home or community setting

Mandatory Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Workers Modules (All four)
  • Working With Children Check (if applicable)
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid driver license and access to a vehicle
  • Full working rights in Australia
