Transport and Travel Support

Getting to appointments, work, study and community activities is part of living the life you choose. Support Foundation is a registered NDIS provider for Assistance with Travel and Transport, and we help participants plan and make the journeys that matter to them.

Accessible vehicles and equipment

Our vehicles are equipped for a range of mobility needs, with wheelchair lifts, wheelchair securements and spacious interiors for comfort and safety. Whether you use a wheelchair or another mobility aid, or simply want a smooth and comfortable journey, we arrange each trip to suit you.

If you need help getting in or out of the vehicle, or getting to your door, your support worker will assist you at every step so the journey is as stress-free as possible.

Our drivers are trained NDIS support workers, so you travel with someone who understands disability support, not just driving. Our vehicles undergo regular inspections and maintenance to keep them safe, comfortable and reliable.

Travel planned around you

We talk with you about where you need to go, how often, your mobility needs and any equipment you use, so the right support is in place for each trip. Travel and transport costs are charged in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and your service agreement, and we explain these before support starts.

GPS tracking is built into our operations. Through our workforce app we monitor support workers’ travel and arrival times, helping trips run on time and giving you and your family peace of mind.

Funding

Transport may be funded in your NDIS plan as a transport budget, or as provider travel and activity-based transport when a support worker travels with you. Your support coordinator or plan manager can help you check what your plan includes.
