What SIL support can include

  • Personal care and daily living tasks
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Household routines
  • Medication assistance within support-worker scope
  • Community access and participation
  • Building skills for greater independence
  • Overnight support, active or sleepover, where funded

Our SIL homes

Our SIL houses have two to five bedrooms. We work with each participant, and the people who share their home, to build a living arrangement that respects their preferences, routines and goals.

Tenancy and support are kept separate

SIL funds the support a participant receives at home. It is a different funding stream from the home itself. We keep tenancy and support arrangements clearly separated, so that a participant can change their support provider without losing their home, and change where they live without losing their support.

Registration and standards

Support Foundation is a registered NDIS provider (4050064716). We deliver SIL in line with the NDIS Practice Standards that apply to SIL providers.

Support Foundation assesses every referral individually. We only accept supports that fall within our NDIS registration, workforce competencies, clinical governance arrangements and capacity to deliver safely. Where a participant requires supports outside our scope, we work with the participant and their representatives to identify an appropriate provider.
